Home Decor Exhibition is the biggest home textiles exhibition for import to China and the best sourcing platform of household fabrics such as tableware sets, wine glasses, wine racks.Home decor exhibition brings homeowners into a world of the latest home designs, trends, ideas, solutions, tips and best products; all at the best prices. There is nothing homeowners cannot find or learn in this home decor exhibition. It is recognised as a trendsetter for the interior living industry providing home solutions for contemporary living. It covers the must-knows, the steps you need to know, decorating and designing your home and integrating all your ideas beautifully into reality.
The exhibition, titled Eden Street No 1, is unique because it encompasses a space installed as a house, which includes an entrance foyer, bedroom, lounge, dining and bathroom each decorated with some excellent pieces of artworks, furniture, lighting, designer objects, art as well as clothing and jewelry. The works have been created by a group of artists who are all mainly members of the Camel Stable Art Studio, a dilapidated municipal building converted into studios a couple of months ago.
This joint effort has been hailed by the arts fraternity as one of the most exciting breakthroughs in the arts in Namibia, where a united approach to the problems experienced in the arts and design industry is sorely lacking. Mariele Davel, who has just completed a scoping study to find the hitches in the industry on behalf of the Board of the John Muafangejo Arts Centre, opened the Eden Street No 1 exhibition and was clearly excited about the implications of this joint effort. She welcomed the idea of artists working together, as this was one of the first steps towards finding synergy in the industry, which has to date been characterised by fragmented efforts by different artists.
About 14 artists have produced more than 50 works for this fully furnished exhibition adorned with designer objects and furniture made in Namibia and billed as a home décor and design exhibition. The artists include established Namibian as well as upcoming artists such as Stephan Eins, Alpheus Mvula, Thomas Pancak, Ina-Maria Shikongo, Peter Kewowo, Foibe Amundaba, Gizz Farrell, Christine Skowski, Cedric Ceulmans, Melli & Rainer Grabow, Lendl Izaaks, Melissa Brandt and the Ibenstein Weavers.
In addition to the artworks on display, the uniqueness of this home decor exhibition will be further enhanced when several other events will take place in the “house” at No. 1 Eden Street during the month of August.
In my personal point of view,i believe this home decor exhibition will create a unique exhibition event allowing to equip and arrange furniture and decorative stores in accordance with the latest trends, expand their product range and increase revenue per meter of retail space.
